Primping With The Stars | Benefit

Hi there! Today I'm reviewing yet another palette! I've been loving so many palettes lately so I just have to blog about them :)
Using this "Primping with the Starts" kit by Benefit, you will make your face look naturally glowy and flawless and you will achieve a perfect base for your makeup with these key products:

* They're Real! - Mascara 3.0g
This mascara with a flexible, plastic wand works good, but I'm not super impressed with it. I like when mascara gives my lashes volume and texture and I just feel like this one just doesn't really do it and it doesn't separates my lashes too well. But after all it's a good, long-lasting mascara.
  • * Stay Don’t Stray - Primer for concealers & eyeshadows 2.5ml
  • First when I got this kit I thought was a concealer but it's actually not. It's a really great product, which you use a primers for eyeshadows and concelears and I think that it works really well! Since I've started using it, I can tell that my makeup stay on perfectly for longer than usual, and I don't have to re-do my concealer t I did before, I just do apply it in the morning, and it makes my concealer (and eyeshadow) still look great when I come back from work and stay perfect till late! Fantastic product.
  • * Benetint - Rose-tinted lip & cheek stain 4.0ml
  • Benetint is a rose tinted stain for lips and chicks. It looks adorable, the packaging reminds me of a nail polish, as you apply this product with a brush like the ones in nail polishes. It's a nice berry colour, which I think would look amazing on someone with a nice tan. However, I like to just pop a bit of it on my chicks, and maybe slightly on my lips, but if I put too much then I might end up looking too pale!
  • * Some Kind-a Gorgeous - The foundation fake 2.5ml.
  • This matte foundation fake comes in the kit in a medium shade. It's a very light, creamy mousse texture. The coverage is alright but if you want more coverage then you could just use some concealer. I think this foundation will leave your skin looking very natural and matte.
  • * Girl Meets Pearl - Liquid pearl for face 7.5ml
  • This liquid pearl for face has a nice fruity scent and looks amazing. I personally like to use it as a highlighter on my cheek bones and my brow bones. It's a light pearly colour and it's such a light product that will give your skin a natural glow. It's also non sticky and super easy to apply. I think I might get addicted to it :)
  • * The POREfessional PRO balm to minimize the appearance of pores 7.5ml
  • I don't have many pores but it works amazing on some that I have on my skin. It works like an airbrush. It blends in amazing with my skin and once I apply it on my face, it makes my pores almost none existent and I don't even see this product on my skin which is amazing. I've never actually tried a product like that before as like I said before, I don't have many pores.

This palette is a bit bigger then the other Benefit one that I reviewed in one of my latest posts, but the products are tiny! I think that the ones that might last me long are Benetint, The POREfessional and Girl Meets Pearl, as these aren't the products that I would use daily and they're the biggest ones. I personally would want the foundation packaging to be a bit bigger, as I might go through it fast!
Even though these products are small, the quality of them is amazing and I think that Benefit makes amazing makeup, just maybe a bit too expensive sometimes.

Fall Into Luxury! Baked Eye-Face Palette | SEPHORA

My favourite palettes are the ones for face, not just eyes. This new "Fall Into Luxury" baked eye-face palette from Sephora is a must have this season! The packaging is made of a gorgeous purple leather. It doesn't look like a typical face palette from the outside as it's a zip-up palette, which looks very luxurious and you can put it comfortably in your bag.This palette contains many different colour eyeshadows, 2 colours of bronzer, 2 colours of blush and a black eye pencil. On the left side of the palette you can find 2 cards with makeup tips and a quite a big mirror. I think every palette should have a mirror because it's very helpful.
There's so many colourful shades in this palette, but as it's a baked palette, the colours are toned down so they're just perfect for autumn and winter!
I just love Sephora. I think they make such high quality and luxurious products, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this palette and try all the colours.
I'm going to tell you a bit more about them.
* There are 9 single colour eyeshadows (Knit, Silk, Lace, Tweed, Faux Fur, Jersey, Velour,  Satin, Velvet) and 3 double ones (Crotchet, Denim, Leather). I love that you can apply them dry or if you want to go for more dramatic look then you can apply them wet. You can mix and match the colours and even mix shimmer ones with nudes.
* The bronzer duo is called "Nubuck". One colour is gold, very shimmery, and super pigmented, so you need to be careful when you apply it and make sure not to apply too much. I really like this colour on a brow and cheek bone as it works great as gold highlighter.
The shade is a milk chocolate brown which is matte. It's a gorgeous, warm colour but it looks pretty dark on a pale skin so I don't go too crazy with it. I think it might suit better for girls with a nice tan.
* "Angora" is a blush with 2 matte shades of peach and light pink. These two colours aren't super strong so you can easily add more layers on. They're very subtle so you can go with your brush over both of them and apply them as one, or just use one of them at a time.
* The black Eye Pencil is very creamy and strong. Instead of putting more and more layers on to achieve a strong, black line, with this pencil you can just press it slightly harder and just draw a line once and it will look perfect.

I think this palette has so much choice and everything a girl could ask. You can mix and match and create so many different looks with it. It's definitely worth it's price!

P.S. Do you have any ideas of what makeup I could create with this palette? Of yes, then please let me know in comments and I will try creating them soon :)

Green Eye-Makeup Tutorial

One of my celebrity makeup inspirations is Hilary Duff. One of the reasons is that she has blonde hair and brown eyes just like me, so when I think that she looks good in some makeup, I often try it myself to see if it would suit me.
She often wears green eyeshadows and I think it suits her perfectly, but I'm not the biggest fan of that colour, and it's actually my least favourite colour, but I really wanted to see if I would look very extreme wearing makeup like that or if it would look good on me.
To create this eye look, I used my e.l.f. palettes, cream eyeshadow, black liquid eyeliner, fake lashes and mascara (well, of course).
* Cream eyeshadow from Benefit in shade "r.s.v.p." which I got in my World Famous Neautrals- Easiest Nudes Ever eyeshadow kit, but you can buy it separately as a single eyeshadow here.

* e.l.f. 100 piece Marble Eyeshadow
* e.l.f. Little Black Beauty Book in Colour Warm Edition. I'm not too sure why the eyeshadows on their website look totally different than the ones on my palette.
* Black liquid eyeliner, which I got from George Asda. I can never find it on their website so I'm giving you link to a similar eyeliner "Exaggerate Liquid Eye Liner" by Rimmel.
*  Great Lash BIG Washable Mascara by Maybeline
* Pre-Glued Lashes by Eylure.

I created this look in 7 easy steps, as you can see on the pictures below.
 1. I wanted my eye to look glowy, that's why I put a nude colour cream eyeshadow as a base. I put it all over my upper eyelid, up to the crease.  I always use my fingers to apply cream eyeshadows. It will blend in better.
2. I used a shimmery light green eyeshadow all over the eyelid where i put the cream eyeshadow before. I used a gorgeous green colour from the Little Black Beauty Book palette. The 100 piece palette has greens as well, but they're a bit different shades and most of the light ones are matte eyeshadows,  and I really wanted to add to this makeup a bit of sparkle, so I went for the nice shade from the Little Black Beauty Book.
3. Next I put an eyeshadow which is a mix of light and darker, warm browns. I applied it in the outer corner of my upper eyelids to add a bit of a shade.
4. I made a line with a dark shimmer eyeshadow on the bottom lash line. I wanted this makeup to look sleek so I just drew a thin line.
5. I am an black eyeliner kind of girl, and I can't go a day without it, that's why of course I used it this time as well. I think the easiest way to do it, is to draw the line with your eyes open, then you can see exactly if you're drawing it the way you want it to look like.
6. As a last eyeshadow, I used a super pretty light gold colour, which is one of my favourites. I used it to brighten up the eye and make it appear bigger, that's why I applied it in the inner corner of the eye. I often use it on a brow bone as well.
7. As a last step I put some gorgeous eyelashes on. I only wear eyelashes on special occasions, and only the ones that look real, are lightweight and give more texture.

So, this is how I created this look. I would love to know what you think of it, and maybe you have some ideas for next makeup tutorials? Then share them with me and please follow my blog if you enjoy reading it :)
